About Us
Situated in the beautiful countryside village of Tichborne, just 10 minutes from Winchester, The Tichborne Arms is a truly special pub. Currently undergoing major renovations, The Tichborne Arms will be a fun, friendly and relaxed country pub and gardens. A place to meet, eat, drink and chat at any time of day with breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily, as well as an array of cakes to enjoy with coffees and teas. Fresh produce will be at the heart of everything we do, sourced locally and from our very own kitchen garden. Wholesome, hearty, rustic fare, served in beautiful surroundings by a fun and friendly team to ensure our guests have an enchanting experience every visit... in a nutshell that's what we're all about. Our House Manager will be key to delivering that experience.
The Role
Working closely with the owners, as head of the front of house team the House Manager will be a host as much as an organiser, an administrator, a systems implementer, a team leader, a problem solver, a complaints fixer, a smiling face, a friend to customers and the team. Our House Manager’s key goal is to make sure our guests have a great time and can’t wait to come back. We want our guests to have a magical experience with us and to genuinely feel special. You will be an ambassador for our brand, excited about the nuances of our offer that make us special, from our kitchen garden produce, to our locally sourced wines, to our carefully curated lo-and-no alcohol drinks list.
Who are we looking for?
You will be someone who is naturally warm and smiley. Someone with bags of charm who always goes out of their way to make sure guests are being superbly looked after in casual and informal surroundings. You’ll have experience in a senior role in a hospitality setting. You will be 100% committed, highly organised, reliable, composed, great at managing people and quality oriented. A flair for presentation and an eye for detail are key, as is being a great communicator. We are a close-knit team here and will always conduct ourselves as such. Good, positive communication is crucial to being the best we can be.
