Can I just come for a pint?

Yes please! We are, and always will be, a public house, so we welcome anyone to pop in for a pint, a cup of coffee or even a few cocktails any time. Our garden tables aren't bookable and there are always stools at the bar. We've got plans to introduce a snug area for drinks by the fire when we get around to it too.

Are you dog-friendly?

Absolutely! Tichborne is fantastic for dog-walking. Dogs must be kept on leads, but are welcomed throughout our pub and gardens. You can usually find some doggy treats in a jar on the mantlepiece.

Why can't I get through to you on the phone?

As a very busy pub with a very small team, we don't have much capacity to field calls. We won't be able to answer during peak times, so we kindly ask that you try us during one of our quieter periods or email your query and we'll get back to you as soon as someone is available. Our quieter periods tend to be 8am-10am and 3pm-6pm. Our email address is at the bottom of the page. Reservations can be made via the link on our homepage.

Do you allow campervans to stay overnight?

We welcome a maximum of two campervans to stay overnight in our carpark in self-contained campervans when having a meal with us. Just make a table booking via the link on our homepage and once confirmed send us a note to say that you'd like to stay overnight, giving your reg no. Overnight stays are permitted in the main car park only, and not in the overflow field. Parking spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis on arrival.

Can I hire out the whole pub? Do you do weddings?

Afraid not. We try not to make a habit of closing to the general public - we are a public house after all - but we will make a very rare exception to this rule if one of our dear neighbours in the village, or one of our own team, is getting married or celebrating something equally significant.

Do you allow children?

Families are warmly welcomed. We have a children's play area, high chairs, baby changing facilities and a children's menu. Our curfew for children is 7pm and the play area is strictly out of bounds from this time. â€‹We're keen for children to enjoy themselves while they are here, but we do ask parents to be mindful that we are in a small, sleepy village and our close neighbours would appreciate a bit of noise moderation. In the interests of everyone's safety and enjoyment, please ensure that children are always under adult supervision.

Can I pay with cash?

No, we only accept credit and debit card payments here.

Is the pub accessible?

Absolutely. We have ramped access from the car park, wide entrance, accessible loo and level paths around the gardens.
